How does Allah describe Himself in The Holy Quran?
Surah No.2, Al Baqr, Ayat No.115
English Translation
To Allah belong the east and the West: Which ever direction you turn, there is the presence of Allah. For Allah is all-Embracing and all-Knowing.
Surah No. 2 Al Baqr, Ayat No. 255
English Translation
Allah! there is no God but He,-the Ever Living and the One who sustains. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep overtakes Him. Whatever exist in Heaven and earth belongs to Him. Who is there, who can intercede with Him except by His permission. He knows all about, which is visible and all that which is invisible. They can grasp that part of the knowledge which He wills. His Throne extend over the skies and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. He is the Most High, the Supreme One.
Surah No. 2 ,Al Baqr , Ayat No285
Translation :
The Apostle believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord. And the believers do have the same faith. Each one believe in Allah, His angels, His books, and His apostles. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His apostles." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Your forgiveness our Lord, and we shall all return to You "
Surah No.3 ,Al-Imran , Ayats No.26&27
Translation :
Say O Allah! You are the Lord of Power (To Rule), You give power to whom You please, and You snatch power from whom You will : You endues honour on whom You are pleased, and dishonour whom You will : In Your hand is all good. You have power over all things.
"You cause the night to gain on the day, and You cause the day to gain on the night; You bring the Living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the Living; and You give sustenance to whom You please , without measure."
Surah No. 4 ,An Nisa , Ayats No.131 to 133
Translation :
All the things in the heavens and on earth belong to Allah. Verily, We have directed the People to whom the Book was given before you, and (command) you to fear Allah. But if you deny Him, all things in the heavens and on earth belong to Allah, and Allah is free of all wants, worthy of all praise. Yes, to Allah, belong all things in the heavens and on earth, and enough is Allah to carry through all affairs. If He will, He could destroy you 'O' mankind, and create another race; for He has power to do this .
Surah No. 6 , Al -Anaam , Ayats No.59-60
Translation :
The keys of the unseen are with Him , He has the knowledge of treasures, that the earth and the sea contains. Not a leaf does fall, but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness of the earth, anything fresh or dry, is recorded in a clear book.
It is He who takes your souls out by night, and has knowledge of all that you have done by day: And He then raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end you shall all return to Him ; then He will show you the truth of all that you did.
Surah No.11 , Hood , Ayat No.6
Translation :
Sustenance of all the moving creature on earth depends on Allah: He knows the time and resting place of all the living being : everything is in a luminous Book.
Surah No.16 , Al Nahl , Ayats No.68 -69
Translation :
And your Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees and in (men’s) habitations;
Then eat all the produce of fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord : There is a secretion from their bellies , a drink of varying colours, wherein there is a healing for men: verily in that there is a Sign for those who give thought.
Comments :
Allah has described the life of honey bee and confirmed the medicinal value of honey. The Entomologists have also described the life history of honey bee. In brief, the bee leads a strong system of life - formation of a comb, making galleries, safeguarding the queen by the soldiers or workers, sucking the sap from fruits and flowers and depositting the honey in the wax cells is all in their system. Secondly, Allah has confirmed that honey is a remedy for defficiencies and diseases and there is a clear sign for the thinkers.
Thus, Allah has certified honey for health, provided it is in pure form .
Qualitative analysis of Honey :
It acts like an antibiotic, antiviral, antiinflammatory, antiallergic, expectorant and anticarcinogenic. It is high in vitamins B & C, B Complex, Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Pottasium, Silicon and host of other minerals. It is a source of rapid energy. It increases calcium absorption, can increase haemoglobbin contents and is helpful to arthritic joints. It can be useful to heal wounds, Gastric ulcers.
Surah No.17 , Al Isra ( Bani Israel ) , Ayats No.42 -43
Translation :
Say: if there had been other Gods along with Him― as they say, then they would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne !
Glory to him! He is high above all that they say! Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!
Surah No. 18 , Kahaf , Ayat No.109
Translation :
Say: "If the ocean were ink for (writing ) the words of my Lord, their waters would surely exhaust before His words were finished, even if we added another ocean like it, to support it .
Surah No. 31, Luqmaan, Ayats No. 27
Translation
And if all the trees on the earth were pens and a sea with seven seas added to it (to become ink), yet the Words of Praise of Allah would not be exhausted. In fact, Allah is All¬Mighty, All¬Wise.
Surah No.23 ,Al Muminoon ,Ayats No.17 -18
Translation :
And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We have not been neglectful in creation of any thing.
And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to settle in the earth ; and We certainly are able to withdraw it off (with ease).
Comments :
Allah has cited the example of descending sufficient quantity of water and storing the same on the earth as sea, lakes and subsequently as sub soil water. He had the power of disintegrating the molecules but He was kind enough to keep them intact in the form of water.
The science students are well aware that the water is a mixture of Oxygen and Hydrogen and if both are separated then they will be converted into gaseous form. Therefore it is quite imminent that there is a Super Power which is balancing the mixture and keeping the molecules of water intact, Who is none but Allah.
Surah No.24 , Noor , Ayat No.35
Translation :
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. His Light is like, a Niche (hollow shelf in a wall) and within it a Lamp: the Lamp is in a Glass: the glass is shining as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree of Olive, free from the direction of the east and the west, whose oil is so clear and glows well-high luminous, though no fire touched it: Light upon Light! Allah does guide towards His light, whom He will : Allah does set forth Parables for men: and Allah does know all things.
Surah No.25 ,Al Furqan ,Ayats No.59 &61
Translation :
Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days.Then He firmly established Himself on the Throne (that suits his Authority): Allah Most Gracious: then ask about Him from those who are well informed.
Blessed is He ,Who has placed in the skies, big stars and placed therein a Big Lamp (Sun) and a shining Moon ,giving light;
Surah No.30 ,Room , Ayats No .48 to50
Translation :
It is Allah Who sends the Winds, and they raise the Clouds.He then spread them in the sky as He wills, and break them into fragments, until you sees rain-drops coming down from their midst : When He made them reach to some of his servants as He wills, they rejoice!- Just before they received (the rain) - they were dumb with despair! Let them observe the Allah’s Mercy!- how He gives life to the earth after its death: verily He will be the same,Who will give life to the men who are dead: for He has power over all the things.
Surah No.32 ,As Sajdah , Ayats No.5 , 6 &7
Translation :
He disposes (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end all affairs go up to Him in a Day, the measure is a thousand years of what you compute.
Such is He, the Knower of all things, hidden and open, the Mighty ,the Merciful;-
Who has made everything which He has created most perfect : He began the creation of man with clay .
Surah No. 35 ,Al Fatir , Ayats No.1 & 2
Translation :
All Praise be to Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels, messengers with wings,- twos, or threes, or fours : He adds in Creation as He pleases: for Allah has power over all the things.
Whatever of mercy, Allah Grants on mankind, none can withold it : and whatever He withhold, there is none who can restore it : and He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.
Surah No.36 ,Al Yasin , Ayats No.36 to 40
Translation :
Glory be to Him , Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces (vegetation), as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge.
And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw it from the Day, and then they are plunged in darkness;
And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is measured by Him , the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.
And the Moon,- We have determined its phases until it returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk.
It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) floats in (its own) orbit (according to Law).

These comments are given keeping In view of findings of Expert astronomers and scientists.
Coming together of the man and woman is the cause of man’s own birth. Creation among the animals also is due to the combination between the male and the female. Also about vegetation, man knows that the law of sex is working in it. Even among the lifeless substances when different things combine with one another, a variety of compounds come into existence. The basic composition of matter itself has become possible due to the close affinity between the positive and the negative electric charges. Therefore the law of the pairs becomes the basis of the existence of the entire universe.
The people of the ancient times believed that sun was moving round the earth. Then after further research and observation the view became that the sun was stationary and all the planets of the solar system were revolving round it. But this theory also did not last long. The later observations revealed that not only the sun but all the stars are also moving in a particular direction, at speeds of 10 to 100 miles per second. About the sun the modern astronomers hold the view that it is moving at a speed of about 12 miles per second along with its whole family of the planets. (See Star and Sun in Encyclopedia Britannica).
The vastness of the solar system in which our earth is included is such that its parent body, the sun, is 300,000 times bigger than the earth, and its farthest planet Neptune is at least 2,793 million miles distant from the sun. However, if Pluto is taken as the farthest planet, it revolves 4,600 million miles away round it. Notwithstanding this vastness, the solar system occupies a very insignificant part of a huge galaxy. The galaxy which includes our solar system has about 3,000 million suns in it, and its nearest sun is so distant from our earth that its light takes about four years to reach us.. It is a small part of the Kingdom of God which man has yet been able to observe. It is also confirmed that sun and moon of our solar system are moving in their respective orbits and none of them can catch each other.
From the order and the wisdom and the excellence of workmanship and the deep relationships which are found in the hundreds of thousands of the galaxies and in the millions and billions of the stars and planets revolving in them no sensible person can imagine that all this has come about automatically. It should give us a strong belief that there exists a Supreme Power, or an administrator behind this order and system, who can be none but Allah the Great.
Surah No.36 ,Al Yasin , Ayats No.79 to 83
Translation :
Say, "He will give them life again , Who created them for the first time! He (Who) has Knowledge of every kind of creation!-
" Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, a fuel with which you ignite the flame !
"How can He,Who created the heavens and the earth ,no power to create their like ?" - Yes indeed He surely has! He is the Creator Supreme, of skill and knowledge !
When He intends a thing, He need only to Say "Be", and it Is!
So glory be to Him Who exercises control over all things and to you all will go back to Him ..
Surah No. 41,Al Fussilat , Ayats No.9 to 12
Translation :
Say: do you deny Him ,Who created the earth in two Days? And you do make others equal to Him? He is the Lord of the Worlds.
He has set mountains on the earth ,which are standing firm, high above it, and stored blessings on the earth in four days ,all the things well measured ,which produces food for them in due proportion . This is for those who ask ?
The sky was all smoke before :Then He turned towards it and He said to it and to the earth: "Come you together, willingly or unwillingly." They said: "We do come (together), in willing ."
So He completed the (cosmos) as seven skies in two Days, and He assigned to each sky its duty and command. And We decorated the lower sky with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge.
Surah No.43 ,Al Zukhruf , Ayats No.10 &11
Translation :
He has made for you the earth (like a carpet), and has made for you roads (and channels) therein, in order that you may find your way ;
It is He ,Who sends down rain from the sky in due measure;- and We raise to life the land ,that is dead; so you will be raised (from the dead).
Surah No.57 ,Al Hadeed , Ayats No.1 to 6
Translation :
Whatever is in the heavens and on the earth,- it glorifies Allah: He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
The kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs to Him : It is He ,Who gives Life and Death; and He has Power over all the things.
He is the First and the Last, the visible and the unseen : and He has full knowledge of all the things.
It is He, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and then established himself on the Throne (of Authority). He knows what enters within the earth and what comes out of it, what comes down from heaven and what goes up to it. And He is with you wherever you may be. And Allah sees well all that you do.
The kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs to Him : and all affairs are referred back to Allah.
He merges Night into Day, and merges Day into Night; and He has full knowledge of the secrets of (all) hearts.
Surah No.59 ,Al Hashr , Ayats No.22 to 24
Translation :
He is Allah besides whom there is no other god;- He,Who knows (all things) both secret and open; He is Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
He is Allah besides whom there is no other god;- (He is) the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace and Perfection , the Guardian of Faith, the Guarantor of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to Allah! He is High above the partners they attribute to Him.
He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Modellar . To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, does declare His Praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might , the Wise One .
Surah No.67A,l Mulk ,Ayats No.1 to 5
Translation :
Blessed is He , in Whose hands is all Sovereignty ; and He has power over all things.
He ,Who created Death and Life, that He may test you ,who is the best in deeds : and He is the Exalted in Might, Forgiving One ;-
He ,Who created the seven skies one above another: Do you see any lack of proportion in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn your vision again: can you see any flaw?
Again turn your vision and (your) vision will come back again ,dazed and tired.
And we have, decorated the lowest sky with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Shaitans , and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.
Surah No.112 ,Ikhlas , Ayats 1 to 4
Translation :
Say ; He is Allah, the One and the Only.
Allah helps and does not need help.
He has no children, And He was not born of anyone.
There is no one equal to Him.
